The Endeavour

Objective

• Tap the pool of qualified Sanskrit scholars from traditional Gurukulas*  around the country

• Prepare a road map for them to attain competency in mainstream skills (e.g. Maths, Science, Coding,  Communication)

By doing this, we hope to

• Empower traditional scholars to undertake research in technology oriented knowledge mining

• Explore Ancient Sciences with a modern perspective to build alternate viable systems for the future

What it is

• A way to make sure that Vedic pāṭhaśālās - where the wealth of our ancient wisdom remains -  are not isolated from mainstream thereby bringing more awareness and exposure to them

• An attempt to boost the Hindu civilizational cause by bringing in ancient expertise (vyākaraṇa, nyāyaśāstra, jyotiṣaśāstra, vedānta etc.) into the mainstream, via Gurukula scholars’ knowledge and numbers

• Means to incentivise (provide financial and social help) to students who choose the Vedic life

• Means to give structural support and boost to Vedic ecosystem that runs mostly on patronage

• Means to create a self sustaining ecosystem for IKS studies for future

What it is not

• An excuse to wean away the only remaining handful of students away from pursuing Vedic life

• Dilution or bringing in corrupting influences from mainstream into Gurukulas

*The term gurukula here encompasses gurukula, vedapāṭhaśālā and/or any traditional schooling system
